Pipe Organ Survey Reports
As your organ approaches the time of reconditioning,
your committee needs to know the precise status of
the instrument – in language they can understand.
A logical beginning to any organ project is a survey
report. In it, we review the instrument's history,
outline what work is required and offer a budgetary
schedule. We can also include photographs to illustrate
our findings.
A pipe organ survey report from Foley-Baker will include
- The organ’s history, including previous work
preformed
- Assessment of the current condition
- A list of work to be performed immediately to make
the organ useable or to prevent damage
- A working plan for
maintaining and restoring your instrument
We
present our full report to your committee and are available
to answer their questions. Upon your approval, Foley-Baker
will draft a comprehensive contract for the needed
work.
Foley-Baker also provides pipe organ consulting services
and can advise your committee as you evaluate your
pipe organ and the available options.
