Organ Rebuild >> First Baptist Church, Asbury Park, NJ Built by Reuter in 1949, this 24 rank organ gave nearly 55 years of good service before many of its post-war mechanical ingredients finally gave out. In 2003 the organ was completely removed to our shops for total reconditioning. On-site chamber repairs by church members produced effective, sound-projecting rooms that were genuinely needed both visually and tonally. The instrument's spec, pipes and chassis remain original. The console and organ relay were upgraded to reflect all the state-of-the-art features now so common to pipe organs of the 21st century. |
